Dog Breeds

There are many kinds of dog breeds, from small dog breeds and toy dogs, through to large dog breeds, working dogs and guard dog breeds. Certain dog breeds have behaviour characteristics and temperaments which may suit certain types of owners, or may not !

You must be aware of these dog characteristics before getting or before even choosing a dog breed. The reason is many people may like the 'look' of a certain dog breed and this blinds them to some important factors of that breed. This can mean the dog is not at all suitable to them or their lifestyle.

The dog breed profile directory offers you a unique approach into the main dog breeds. Accordingly, there are very important things you should know when you choose a dog breed, ie. about the dog and his/her breed specific character or features, the dog’s heights and weights, and importantly you should look into a breed from a training and obedience viewpoint as well.

Remember, you are becoming involved with a living creature, and your pet can suffer if its needs are not met. The dog breeds directory helps you gain information for owners, both prior to and during the process of choosing a dog.

This can merely be a general guide to all the breeds, but all dogs have a totally unique character. If you consider a certain breed for purchase or ownership, it is important to visit owners of the breed in question and get a feel for the personality of the dogs in their home environment before going out and actually getting a dog of any kind.

You also should spend some time around the breed you are interested in, talk to people and ask as many questions as you possibly can. This might save you and the dog from unnecessary trauma later.

I'd would like to share some of the Puppy Potty Training tips and tricks I used to have little puppy trained to go to the door, and ring a little bell I attached to the door every time he had to go potty
